Advocacy

Anthony Symondson, Senior Site Technican at Bauder:
"From the start Bauder, LRL and Kier joined together to deliver the first light pavilion to a high standard. A pre start meeting was arranged to which Bauder presented a CPD on what the site technicians will be doing on a weekly basis, Bauder products being used and working together. The shape of the roof threw some challenges and took some working out as how best to install the membranes, although the roof was being buried everyone still wanted symmetry with the end result. Castleations in the perimeter hard edge had to be introduced to retain the drainage board, retention plates within the insulation layer due to the severity of the curve and challenges of installing the membranes during the winter months.

I enjoyed being involved with the project as you don’t see many roofs of this shape, size and significance, although the waterproofing is buried the time spent on site with 19 inspections to make sure the quality was there from start to finish and specification followed, its good to see the finished building and revisit."
