Bauder Proven to be Top of the Green Roofs Again

Bauder has once again demonstrated that they are the market leaders within the green roof industry by taking both prizes at the prestigious National Roofing Awards in New Build Green Roof and Refurbishment Green Roof categories.

The winner of the Best New Build was University Campus Suffolk, The Waterfront Building which nestles within the market town of Ipswich amidst heritage buildings as well as the contemporary development of the waterfront. The pitched oval green roof sweeps into view as you approach the town centre, totally capturing your vision.

The refurbishment winner was Hornton Court, a red brick Edwardian Building situated within the affluent area of Kensington and whose green roof was designed to replicate the court’s original gardens.

Andrew Mackenzie says “It is always satisfying to win at the FRA Awards as they are well recognised by the roofing industry. It is particularly satisfying to win with University Campus Suffolk, a project that is local to us and acts as a daily visual testimony to Bauder and its achievements”.

The national awards are hosted by the Flat Roof Alliance (FRA) and recognise those who have made outstanding contributions within the roofing industry and whose own standards echo those set by the FRA.
