Roof completed with Hot Melt waterproofing system

Hot Melt Roof Systems

Bauder Hot Melt waterproofing systems are designed for use in inverted or buried roof scenarios.

Hot Melt Roof Systems

The Bauder Bakor Hot Melt System achieves a CCPI mark which recognises that any claims made about it have been independently assessed across 11 clauses, providing greater clarity by offering improved product information. This gives specifiers confidence in the knowledge that they will have unambiguous information when deciding which of our systems is best for their new build or refurbishment project.

Bauder Hot Melt CCPi

When to specify

Bauder Hot Melt waterproofing system is a hot applied polymer modified bitumen waterproofing applied in two layers with a polyester reinforcement. It is capable of a 100% bond to the approved surfaces it is applied.

Hot melt structural waterproofing is particularly advantageous for protected, inverted, or buried roofs such as biosolar roofs, blue roofs, green roofs, paved, terraces, podiums, plazas and car parks. The solution is primarily for new build projects.

Due to its composition, it remains in a live state, giving it the strength and flexibility to cope with the stresses and strains of the building it protects for the length of time it remains.

Plus points
  • Compatible with various landscaping finishes including hard landscaping, green roofs, blue roofs and biosolar solutions.
  • Range of insulations including non-combustible options.
  • Seamless application provides monolithic waterproofing.
  • Full adhesion to deck substrate.
  • Comprehensive guarantees to meet project needs

Hot Melt system with BauderVIP INV

BauderVIP INV is an inverted roof rigid vacuum insulation panel with a microporous core that is evacuated, encased, and sealed in a gas-tight membrane. BauderVIP INV panels are encapsulated in a protective polyurea coating for increased robustness and easier handling on site.

BauderVIP INV panels are suitable for roof areas where a lack of construction depth or space is an issue, such as roofs, roof terraces, enclosed balconies over heated spaces, and insulated walkways in an inverted roof build-up. BauderVIP INV panels are suitable for use in both new build and refurbishment situations with our Hot Melt, Reinforced Bitumen Membrane and Bauder LiquiTEC Cold Applied Liquid waterproofing options.

BauderVIP INV panels can be used as part of an inverted roof construction in either a single or double layer which is determined by the thermal requirements of the project. They are used in conjunction with BauderXPS (300) on top of the BauderVIP INV panels and as infill boards for any spaces. Its thickness is also determined by the thermal requirements.

BauderVIP INV panels can be used in conjunction with BauderXPS, BauderROCK NC 56mm Upstand Insulation, and warm insulation upstands - giving the designer flexibility.

Flame-Free detailing methods

Our flame-free detail design specifically delivers secure safe application techniques in the vicinity of combustible construction materials located on or connected to, the roof. This includes timber substrates or upstands; abutments to cladding, roof tiles, slates or thatch; or even debris such as dry leaf material that is at risk of ignition.
