Safety is at the forefront of everything we do. At Bauder, our health and safety strategy gives employees the confidence to recognise the importance of their own safety but also empowers them to challenge colleagues to ensure a safer more informed environment.
Wellbeing at Bauder
Our wellness programme puts health and wellbeing at the heart of our people strategy. Workforce wellness is linked to our training syllabus with quarterly wellness focus topics and a great number of initiatives and gifting throughout the year. Our strong mental health focus provides training for our entire workforce and our empathic approach provides significant support to those who need it most.

We were the first in our sector to be awarded the prestigious Investors in People Platinum award and are proud to be identified as a top employer that engages, communicates with its staff, and fosters an organisational culture and work practices that focuses on people.
Investors in People assesses how organisations perform against its framework for how leadership, support and development benefits and impacts people in the workplace and compares against other organisations in the industry and sector globally.

Having ISO 45001 gives significant value to us in reducing workplace incidents and demonstrates our commitment to the safety of our people, particularly when attending construction sites. Our people understand that it is everyone's responsibility to look out for, identify and report anything, big or small, that could cause a hazard to another person so that we all create a safe working environment.
The standard requires complying with OH&S regulations, ensuring legal conformity and promotes proactive risk management.

We pride ourselves in striving to support personal growth and development with innovative, pro-active training and development opportunities.
In 2023 alone there were:
- 2,856 hours of facilitator led training undertaken by colleagues.
- 3,210 online bitesize videos were watched through the e-learning platform we use.
- 50 different training courses were delivered by facilitators, and of these 26 were skill based and 24 focused on wellbeing and personal development.
Supporting charities
We are proud to support a variety of charities with our fundraising events and donations that occur throughout the year.
We also support our employees in their own individual fundraising efforts for registered charities. Any employee can access a £150 donation towards their activities.
