BauderXPS WFRL (Water Flow Reducing Layer) Membrane

BauderXPS WFRL Membrane is a high performance non-woven polyethylene membrane. It is UV resistant and can be safely exposed for a period not exceeding 4 months, however we recommend that ballasting follows installation asap. It resists attack by mould and fungus growth and will not encourage insect attack. It is supplied as part of the BauderXPS (300) Inverted Insulation System to minimize water flow through and below the insulation.

Intended Use

This product known as a Water Flow Reducing Layer (WFRL) as defined in BS6229:2018, is for use as a separator sheet over BauderXPS  (300) insulation, therefore reducing the cooling effect of rainwater, and therefore improving the thermal performance of the insulation, whilst also helping to reduce the flotation effect therefore reducing the weight of ballast required.

BauderXPS WFRL Membrane is breathable, therefore will not create a condensation trap within the construction and also acts as a filter layer to prevent fines getting between the insulation and waterproofing.
