Bauder staff Collecting Litter And Rubbish Within Local Areas

In total, we collected 30 bags of rubbish. For every bag of rubbish collected we have arranged through Trees for Cities to plant a tree.

Trees for Cities are a UK charity working at a national and international scale to improve lives by planting trees in cities. The charity gets involved with local communities to cultivate lasting change in neighbourhoods – whether it’s revitalising forgotten spaces, creating healthier environments or getting people excited about growing, foraging and eating healthy food. Tree for Cities has planted 1,551,867 trees since 1993.

This initiative not only gives back to the community and works towards helping the planet by having a cleaner environment, but it was also a great activity for individuals' wellbeing. During this time of year, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a common type of depression where symptoms are more apparent or severe during the winter. This includes a low mood, a loss of interest in normal everyday activities and feeling lethargic. Therefore, to combat SAD, this activity encouraged the team to get out in the natural daylight, get some fresh air, socialise with colleagues or family, and get involved with our local cleanup.
