Bauder wins Sustainability Award at 2025 SPRA Awards
Awards & Certifications
Bauder’s involvement in the 45-63 Lawrence Road new build project has been recognised by winning the Sustainability Award at the SPRA Awards 2025.
Hosted at the Hilton NEC, Birmingham on 12th June, the awards ceremony showcased the achievements of the single ply roofing sector’s suppliers and contractors for projects completed in 2024.
Lawrence Road, a residential development of 80 contemporary flats in North London, utilised our Thermofol single ply system, and also includes sustainable elements, such as a solar mounting system and green roof areas.
This system was chosen for its durability, flexibility, and suitability for complex roof configurations, as it met all performance specification requirements, offering:
- A reliable, long-lasting waterproofing solution
- Sustainable elements, including solar mounting system and green roof areas
- Long-term cost savings and operational efficiency due the system’s low-maintenance characteristics
This project sets a benchmark for how modern roofing can support carbon reduction, enhance biodiversity, and deliver real energy savings.
Helena Tayt, Architectural Technical Manager Winning this award is recognition of our continued efforts to collaborate with architects and design teams to find sustainable approaches to flat roof solutions. This is an achievement that all at Bauder can be very proud of.

Sustainability Award 2024 trophy for 45-63 Lawrence Road

45-63 Lawrence Road, winner of the 2025 SPRA Award for Sustainability
Highly Commended
Alongside our award win, we also received two Highly Commended accolades, highlighting our work in both the new build and refurbishment sectors.
The first was for 45-63 Lawrence Road in the Best New Build category, which exemplified exemplifies exceptional workmanship and technical expertise. The project featured a team with more than 40 years of combined experience, who achieved a high-quality result.
The second commendation was in the Sustainability category, this time for The Resident hotel in Edinburgh, pictured below.
We assisted the client in transforming Meldrum House, a 1950s tax office, which had reached the end of its usable life. Rather than demolishing the building, the decision was taken to retrofit, thereby reducing carbon emissions.
This project also utilised the Bauder Thermofol system, incorporating Bauder PIR Tapered insulation, which increased the building’s energy efficiency.
