Kipling Court
Bauder's roof refurbishment project at a retirement home in Bradford with a Bauder Total Roof System (BTRS) with 120 mm BauderPIR FA-TE insulation installed.
The result of a condition survey with extensive core sample analysis revealed high levels of moisture contamination in all core samples. Insulation levels were found to be very poor, so a thermal upgrade was deemed necessary to improve thermal performance and EPC ratings (a key client requirement).
Existing waterproofing was fully stripped, and a Bauder Total Roof System (BTRS) with 120 mm BauderPIR FA-TE insulation specified and installed.
The contractor ensured residents had access to all areas of the home, making sure the site was clean, tidy and safe. In-depth information from regular site inspections provided peace of mind for the client and were useful in evidencing the thermal upgrade to building control.
The result was a thermal upgrade to 0.18 W/m²K, ensuring warmer living conditions for Kipling Court’s residents as well as lower energy bills.
