Works progressing at new Bauder warehouse

Works are progressing apace at Bauder’s new warehouse at Gateway 14 in Stowmarket, following our groundbreaking ceremony in August 2024.
The final sections of the building’s exterior have now been completed, with work on the car park and other external areas ongoing. Meanwhile, internal works are underway, with office floors and walls now in place ready for the electrics to be fitted.
The fit-out stage will be next, which will include the installation of racking for material storage on the warehouse floorspace, security IT systems, and readying the office for occupation.
The project is on track for completion in spring, with our warehouse team due to move in this summer.

A new 44,000 sq ft distribution centre
Bauder’s new warehouse will significantly increase Bauder’s storage capacity, streamline logistics, and enhance distribution capabilities. The site will also feature sustainable building design and practices, and renewable energy generation and efficiency features, including:
- A PV system on the roof to reduce grid reliance
- Multiple EV charging points
- Rainwater harvesting with filtration to re-purpose for toilet flushing etc.
- Rapid warehouse access doors to reduce temperature swings inside the space
- Full LED lighting including smart warehouse lighting to minimise energy usage when an area is not populated
- Heat pump for hot water and heating
- An EPC ‘A’ rating for the whole building
The warehouse is based at Gateway 14, a new business, innovation and logistics park, conveniently situated close to the A14 near Stowmarket, Suffolk. The park is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mid Suffolk District Council, in partnership with Jaynic, while the main contractor is Leicestershire-based Wilten Construction.
