Supporting St Elizabeth Hospice Suffolk Remembers 2023

Bauder united with St Elizabeth Hospice and the local community to mark the charity’s annual Suffolk Remembers event, where candles are lit in memory of loved ones who are no longer with us.
Over 500 people gathered at Felixstowe Sea front on Wednesday 21st June as the sun set over the coast. Following the tradition, the letters of Suffolk Remembers were filled with candles and illuminated along the sea front. 640 candles were dedicated in honour of loved ones by family, friends, and the community with kind donation contributions to the independent charity.

In support of this special event, Bauder sponsored the letter ‘B’ alongside local businesses sponsoring the other letters of Suffolk Remembers. Representatives from Bauder volunteered to fill the letters with candles and carry them across to the dedicated spot.

The event saw live performances from a local brass band, choir, and Ipswich singer, Roma Manteiga-Nicholson. Stories and poems were also shared in dedication to those no longer with us. The evening was accompanied by lovely weather, warm with a please breeze and the gentle sound of waves on the shore.

Bauder is privileged to stand with the St Elizabeth Hospice in this moving event to raise funds to improve life for people living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses.

In the last year, the independent Suffolk charity cared for over 4000 patients and their families by proving support where needed whether at home, in the community or at the hospice. The need for its services is ever growing, with costs of £12.9 million a year to provide their services at no charge to those who need it.
