Attending CRASH Corporate Patrons Forum 2023

Individuals from Bauder recently attended the annual CRASH Corporate Patrons Forum on behalf of the company, where fellow corporate patrons of the charity gathered to hear the impact of our collective support and commitment first-hand from homelessness charities and hospices.

Guests heard from Amanda Dubarry, Chief Executive at Your Place, who spoke about homelessness in the UK and the misconceptions surrounding it. She shared how the support from CRASH and its patrons transformed Anchor House’s refurbishment project, which houses around 150 residents to provide guidance, education, employment and community building opportunities.

Second guest speaker, Amanda Mayo, Director of Care at St Christopher’s Hospice discussed with Francesca Roberts, CEO of CRASH, the project CRASH have been supporting the hospice with over the last year to renovate the impatient unit.
Francesca emphasised CRASH unites the industry and channels the expertise of technical experts and products of companies, to transform hostels and day centres for homeless people across the UK. The charity also creates caring environments for children and adults who need end of life care in a hospice, where families can spend precious time together.

The CRASH team also provided ideas for upcoming fundraising activities and suggestions for how businesses can make fundraising more enjoyable, encourage teamwork, and provide opportunities for networking.
