Lloyd's of London - a project in progress

The Project

Bauder is currently working with specifier Arup and approved contractors, Inspire Contract Services Ltd, on the refurbishment of the iconic Lloyd's of London located in the heart of London. The building was originally completed in 1986, and 25 years later it received Grade I listing for the architecture innovation of its "inside out" design.

The Systems Installed

Almost 3,400m² of our robust bituminous system, BTRS PLUS, is being installed which has a service life in excess of 35 years, as the original waterproofing was found to have come to the end of its serviceable life after a Bauder roof survey was conducted where core samples were taken.

Our BauderGLAS Tapered Insulation was also specified which is manufactured from specially graded recycled glass and natural raw materials which are available in abundant supply. The insulation is totally inorganic, contains no ozone depleting propellants, flame resistant additives or binders.
