Bauder Joins Insulation Representative Body BRUFMA

This week Bauder has become a member of ‘The British Rigid Urethane Foam Manufacturers Association’ (BRUFMA) - the representative body for the Rigid Polyisocyanurate (PIR) and Polyurethane (PUR) Insulation Industry in the United Kingdom.

BRUFMA is a non-profit making organisation and its purpose is to create a positive and dynamic business environment for the PUR/PIR insulation industry. Over the years BRUFMA has built up a great deal of credibility with many government and non-governmental organisations involved in the legislative areas affecting the production and use of PIR/PUR insulation products.

BUFMA’s membership comprises all of the major companies in the industry, including manufacturers of finished PIR and PUR insulation products, suppliers of the various raw materials and associated services. All BRUFMA members sign up to a Code of Conduct, which seeks to ensure that the highest standards of honesty and integrity are maintained.

Andrew Mackenzie, Managing Director for Bauder in the UK stated “As a major producer of high quality PIR insulation it makes perfect sense for us to be part of the main industry body in the UK.  We are very much looking forward to working with BRUFMA and its members to spread the message about the unique benefits of PIR insulation products to all stakeholders and to representing the industry in the development of appropriate product and application standards.”

Chris Hall, Chief Executive of BRUFMA said “We are delighted to welcome Bauder into membership, further widening the expertise within the Association. Bauder’s experience both in the UK and across Europe will help to further develop the PIR insulation industry.
